Youth Krzysztof Penderecki

   Born in a family lawyer. From his childhood he studied to play the violin and piano. In the late 1940's played in the town brass band Denbitsy. Later, in the gymnasium, Krzysztof organized its own orchestra, which was a violinist and conductor. In 1955, moved to study in Krakow, which is engaged in theoretical disciplines with F. Skolyshevskim - pianist and composer, physicist and mathematician. In the years 1955-1958 he studied at Malyavskogo A. and S. Vehovicha in Krakow Conservatory.

   A great influence on the young Penderecki had Bela Bartok, Igor Stravinsky. A careful study of works by Pierre Boulez and Luigi Nono (familiarity with the most recent was held in 1958) contributed to his hobby vanguard.
